A student of the Institute of Agribusiness of the Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N.I. Vavilov won the first All-Russian competition of agricultural projects "AgroStart", which was held at Maikop State Technological University.
The competition was organized by MSTU with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Adygea. The project was moderated by Nurbiy Mamsirov, Head of the Department of Agricultural Production Technology, and Maria Galicheva, Associate Professor of the Department.
The competition brought together foreign students of Russian universities, young researchers and future agricultural specialists. The participants presented their own ideas on the current challenges of the industry: food security, sustainable development and the introduction of innovative technologies in agriculture.
In total, 21 projects from five regions of Russia were submitted to the jury, and 10 best works reached the final.
Ali Mohamed Tarek Farouk Mohamed, a student of the BE-401 group, was awarded the highest award and a diploma of the first degree. The competition committee highly appreciated his scientific work on the topic: "Improving the competitiveness of the dairy processing industry in the Saratov region, taking into account the trademark." The study was notable for its depth of analysis, relevance and practical significance for the regional agro-industrial complex.
The scientific supervisor of the project was Lyudmila Pototskaya, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex at the Institute of Agribusiness.
It is worth noting that winning the competition is not only a prestigious award, but also a tangible advantage in continuing education: according to the rules, the winners of Agrostart receive 10 additional points to the results of the entrance exams for admission to the Maikop State Technological University graduate program.
The Institute of International Relations of Vavilov University is really proud of the success of Ali Mohamed. His achievement confirms that foreign students of the university not only successfully integrate into the university community, but also compete on equal terms with the best young scientists of Russia, honourably representing Vavilov University at the national level.
