If you want to be educated at Vavilov University, but you don't speak enough Russian yet, you have a great opportunity to study at the Center for Pre-University Training, Academic Mobility and Grant Activities of the Institute of International Relations.

Who are the programmes intended for?

Preparatory programmes have been created for foreign citizens and stateless persons who plan to enroll in bachelor's, specialist's, master's or postgraduate programmes at Russian universities.

What you will get

The main goal of the preparatory department is to teach you Russian as a means of communication and mastering your future profession. The programme includes:

• Intensive Russian language course (conversational practice, grammar, academic writing);

• Adaptation modules on the basics of the future specialty (technical, economic and chemical-biological profiles).

Terms and formats of training

Programmes with various durations are available — from 7 to 14 months. The training is conducted full-time, which allows you to be wrapped up in the linguistic and cultural environment.

Training programmes

7 months of "Getting to know Russia" - 129,600 rubles;

8 months of "Russian World" - 133,200 rubles;

10 months of "Territory of possibilities" - 140,400 rubles;

12 months of "The road to University" - 147,600 rubles;

14 months of "International Union" for - 168,480 rubles.

You can select one of the profiles:

1. Engineering and technical (Russian, Mathematics, Physics, IT);

2. Medical and biological (Russian, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics);

3. Economical (Russian, Mathematics, History, Social Studies, Economic Geography).

 

Procedure for submitting documents:

1. Take a video interview with the staff of the Institute (conducted in Russian; those wishing to enroll must ensure the presence of an interpreter);

2. Fill in the application forms;

3. Provide copies or scans of your passport and educational documents, as well as the translation of these documents into Russian;

4. Attach a confirmation of 6000 ruble payment of the state fee for issuing an invitation to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Saratov region (payment is made on the territory of the Russian Federation).

The deadline for issuing the invitation is 30 working days after the transfer of the documents to the Migration Department.

 

Who can study

Graduates of secondary schools, bachelors or masters who wish to continue their studies in Russia.

Results

In 2026, more than 300 students from 17 countries successfully completed their studies at the Center for Pre-University Training, Academic Mobility and Grant Activities of the Institute of International Relations. Graduates receive a certificate of proficiency in the Russian language at the B1 level, which entitles them to enroll in Russian universities.
